Institute of Political Science, University of Wrocław, 21.11.2019
On November 21, 2019, the Institute of Political Science at the University of Wrocław hosted the participants of the Opening Academic & Practical Workshop 'Urban Policy System in the Strategic Perspective - from V4 to Ukraine'. The event has been divided into three parts.
During the first part (Academic Research Forum) the representatives of leading Polish (University of Wroclaw), Czech (Masaryk University in Brno, Metropolitan University in Prague), Slovak (University of Trnava), Hungarian (University of Szeged) and Ukrainian (National Academy of Public Administration) universities presented the results of the scientific research devoted to the project issues.
The part two (Round Table Debate) was an opportunity for an interdisciplinary discussion devoted to the problems of shaping the system of urban policies in Central and Eastern Europe, with particular emphasis on the potential associated with the use of the experience of the "old" European Union. The debate was not aimed only at researchers - the representatives of Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia, i.e. the Visegrad Group countries and Ukraine, but also the practitioners interested in the subject of the project.
In the third and final part (Young Practitioners Forum) special workshops for students and doctoral students were organized. The participants of this part had the opportunity to learn the conditions, forms and mechanisms for building legal and institutional frameworks of the urban policy system. A special attention was devoted to the strategic dimension of this process.
Opening Academic & Practical Workshop "Urban Policy System in the Strategic Perspective - from V4 to Ukraine" was a public event and met with the keen interest of not only researchers, but also practitioners, doctoral students and students.
