Book Launch and Final Academic & Practical Workshop
„Urban Policy System in the Strategic Perspective - from V4 to Ukraine”

On May 25, 2021, the project team hosted the participants of the Book Launch and Final Academic & Practical Workshop 'Urban Policy System in the Strategic Perspective - from V4 to Ukraine'. The event has been divided into three parts.
During the first part (Book Launch) the representatives of leading Polish (University of Wroclaw, Kazimierz Wielki University in Bydgoszcz, Wrocław University of Technological Science), Czech (Masaryk University in Brno, Metropolitan University in Prague), Slovak (University of Trnava), Hungarian (University of Szeged) and Ukrainian (National Academy of Public Administration) universities presented the results of the scientific research devoted to the book chapters. What is more, there were an opportunity to listen to a speech of Professor Matrizia Magaro (University of Genua, Italy) who is a great specialist in the field of contemporaty urban and regional policy.
The part two (Round Table Debate) was an opportunity for an interdisciplinary discussion devoted to the problems of shaping the system of urban policies in Central and Eastern Europe, with particular emphasis on the potential associated with the use of the experience of the "old" European Union. The debate was not aimed only at researchers - the representatives of Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia and Ukraine, but also the practitioners interested in the subject of the project.
In the third and final part (Young Practitioners Forum) special workshops for students and doctoral students were organized. The participants of this part had the opportunity to present their projects on the conditions, forms and mechanisms for building legal and institutional frameworks of the urban policy system in Ukraine.
Book Launch and Final Academic & Practical Workshop "Urban Policy System in the Strategic Perspective - from V4 to Ukraine" was a public event and met with the keen interest of not only researchers, but also practitioners, doctoral students and students. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic constraints, it was however an online event.
