In September 2023 Karolina and Jan participated in the conference of the European Consortium of Political Research in Prague as co-chairs of the panel "Parliaments, citizens and the future of Europe: synergies or legitimacy clashes?".
The panel was part of the book project co-ordinated by Karolina and Lucy Kinski from Salzburg University.

- Karolina Borońska-Hryniewiecka has been appointed to the CEPS-SWP High Level Group on EU Democracy composed of well-known academic and authoritative practitioners (politicians, diplomats, advisors). - On May 4-6, 2023 Karolina Borońska-Hryniewiecka has taken part in the 18th European Union Studies Association (EUSA) Biennial Conference in Pittsburgh where she presented a paper entitled “The domain of the right? Explaining parliamentary preferences on EU-oriented self-empowerment” co-authored with Guillaume Sacriste (Pantheon-Sorbonne).
- On 13 – 15 November 2022, Karolina participated in the LXVIII COSAC Plenary Meeting in Prague, Czech Republic where she observed the dynamics of inter-parliamentary cooperation during the Czech EU Presidency.
